Keith Johnstone, British and Canadian pioneer of improvisational theatre, says in his book Impro: Improvisation and the Theatre, “There are people who prefer to say ‘yes’ and there are people who prefer to say ‘no.’ Those who say ‘yes’ are rewarded by the adventures they have. Those who say ‘no’ are rewarded by the safety they attain.”

This quote can also be applied to the business world. When we have a “Yes, and…” mindset, we can take our businesses to new levels — and go on new adventures.
