30 Tips for Today’s Financial Advisor: Tip 15
Many times, we let fear prevent us from trying new things. It’s easier to stay in a boring routine than entering the unknown.
But when we try new things, we make progress toward getting over our fears and expand our minds. According to Forbes, happiness and learning are closely tied together, and TIME says that “people who engage in a variety of experiences are more likely to retain positive emotions and minimize negative ones than people who have fewer experiences.”
As Mihaly Csikszentmihaly, who coined the term “flow,” says, “The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times… The best moments usually occur if a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.”
